ECHOES Presents: Full Body Workout Mixed By Hector Romero

One of the best Italian clubs, Echoes, and Rebirth Records present the Full Body Workout compilation mixed by SAW / DEF MIX Dj Hector Romero. Hector is hosting the Full Body Workout night at the famous club in Riccione every Wednesday nights during the summer from 29th July to 26th August 2009. Just before the explosion of the house sound in the late 80’s and the start of the Ibiza trend in the first 90’s, in Rimini, Riccione and surrounding areas, an important concentration of clubs born, and most important a new vision of the dj figure developed, from a simple music selector to an artist and a musician. The club became a territory opened to contaminations and vanguards. People like Moz Art, who invented the ‘new afro sound’, Ricky Montanari and Flavio Vecchi, who launched the ‘Riviera House’, contributed to the start of a new creative movement, knocking down the boundaries and bringing Italy to the attention of the music culture. All of this thanks to clubs like Echoes that firmly believed in the new vision of the ‘club culture’, where music is the main protagonist and the dj the person able to reinterpret dreams and aspirations of the audience. After 20 years Echoes is still considered as one of the most important italian clubs, aknowledged abroad. Hector Romero’s intro into the DJ world began at the age of 13. Nicknamed “DJ Baby Hec,” the Bronx native landed his first job at La Mirage, known at the time as one of the hottest dance clubs in the Bronx. Hector was soon spinning at a number of downtown Manhattan clubs including Save the Robots, Palladium and Roxy as well as The Red Zone where he opened for David Morales. Hector’s music industry experience is not limited to DJing. Early responsibilities included a job in a local record shop eventually leading to a position with Emotive Records. Soon after, he was abducted by David Morales to look after the day-to-day operations of DMI Records. As the current label manager and business partner to Satoshi Tomiie, Hector is the driving force behind Saw Recordings. Having great success with Chab, Bush II Bush, and Audiofly among others, Hector has earned the respect of DJs and record labels throughout the world. Rebirth Records was established in 2006 by Shield. The label spawned its first release in early summer 2006 with the powerful ""Finest Dream (Lead You To Heaven)"", performed by And If and featuring vocals by the timeless vocalist Alison Limerick. Rebirth followed up with strong releases by NUfrequency, Billie Ray Martin and debut releases from up and coming artists like Outmode, Robytek, Edison (aka Andy Chatterley, producer of Skylark and Buick Project with Nic Fanciulli), Silky Sunday and Ajello. Rebirth rapidly grew his reputation, not following the trends but creating its own sound, and in 2008 exploded with the amazing NUfrequency Featuring Shara Nelson “Go That Deep”, which has been already reviewed as the soulful vocal tune of 2008, and Rennie Foster hot track “Devil’s Water” ! Back to the the roots of house music, building a link between the soul of a melody or a song and the brand new tecnhologies ! Rebirth has been already considered the best Italian house label around, receiving a big support and respect in the underground house music scene. This is a collection of the best from the Rebirth catalogue and brand new exclusives, selected and mixed with class by Hector Romero ! Peak–time tunes, pure dancefloor tracks, and a different vibe too, more eclectic, atmpospheric, balearic and electronic, music from the likes of And If Feat Alison Limerick, Robytek, NUfrequency Feat Shara Nelson, A:xus, The Droyds, Billie Ray Martin and Ajello among the others. In Particular: Julian Sanza brings the discofied delicacy of retro futurism with “Bolumen” and shows the deeper and daarker side with “Galapagos"" with its luscious and infectious grooves ! . ""Brighter Day"" by Tapesh is a fresh warm sexy groove with a strong hooky vocal ! Roland Appel delivers an intense mix of Robytek’s “Luna Africana”. The hotly-tipped french trio dOP reinvented Djuma Soundsystem “Bipolar” with their unique musical approach adding vocals and an epic feel to it. Edison (Aka Andy Chatterley) works his magic on “Undisco Me”, the Billie Ray Martin’s return ! A:xus, back in 2009 with “Suite Disappointment” featuring the sweet vocals of Graph Nobel and a classic remix from Pete Heller. Manuel Tur gives And If classic “Finest dream” a mind-blowing warm, deep, groovy and magical touch. Italian masters, Ajello, are on a mission with “Dolphy” to provide a modern twist on the italo disco with a very spacey futuristic vibe. Ripperton, drops a darker, intense and deeply hypnotic remix of the classic “Spending Life” by Toronto’s finest James Teej. Buick Project (Nic Fanciulli & Andy Chatterley) produce a warm groove on Outmode “Funky Music” and Radio Slave (here re-edited by Demi) drops a detroit tripped out remix of Mr Gone “Do For Love”, leading to the amazing “Go That Deep” by NUfrequency featuring the beautiful vocals of the legend Shara Nelson remixed by Charles Webster !
